Rich in history
Established nearly a hundred years ago, with new neighbourhoods emerging over the last 30 years, Bronte was its own town before officially amalgamating to form the greater Oakville area.
Resting on Lake Ontario between Oakville and Burlington, Bronte is bound by the QEW to the north, Lake Ontario to the south, Burloak Drive to the west and Third Line to the east.
Waterfront
The community is known for The Harbour, a sister community to Downtown Oakville. It has been undergoing some development over the last few years with a mix of new builds and more traditional, quaint style homes.
Once known for its bungalows and cottages, many of the homes in Bronte are slowly being replaced by the more affluent Oakville luxury builds. The popularity of this area has also led to development of condos and townhomes along the lake.
Neighbourhood
The area has been known for being home to older families and retired seniors. However, in recent years, Bronte has started to attract young professional couples and families looking for a laidback and quiet neighbourhood.
